I love making treats extra special especially in the fall. Let’s take some ordinary snacks and make them memorable and fun!

Favorite Early Fall Eats

When it’s the height of apple season nothing says fall more to me.

Apples are sweeter crisper and just seem to have more flavor this time of year.

There are so many different kinds of apples baking, pie apples, cooking, salad, & fresh eating.

My family loves gala and golden delicious apples for eating.

We are an apple dipper family are you?

Chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel are among our favorites!

Gathering Ingredients

I ran to my favorite spot to grab ingredients for a charcuterie board, Trader Joe’s

Most of the treats we crave come from there, is there anything special you like from there?

Those mini milk chocolate peanut butter cups are so addicting, I wish I hadn’t eaten one because I’ve been thinking about them ever since.

Now if you’ve never had their old fashion grahams you’ve never had a really good graham cracker!

There is just something about them that makes all the rest taste like cardboard in comparison.

And what is fall without ginger snaps and theirs are so good, and omg make a s’mores using them!

The sky is the limit when your gathering ingredients, I started with apples and it grew from there.

Dips, and stuff to make stick to the apples after like peanuts, crushed pretzels, and those peanut butter cups.

Creating Something Special

Now I happen to have an Etsy Shop and create fun wood cut outs, I’ve been experimenting with some new things… coming soon!

So I grab one of the new things I’ve been working on, this sadly didn’t make the cut, but it was a stepping stone!

Grab anything a tray, a cookie sheet, a cutting board it doesn’t have to be something amazing or extra special.

I like to start my charcuterie boards with the big things.

Like ramekins with dip and of course apples they were what started this whole board!

Pile it all on and move it around.. when you think you’ve got enough pile on some more.

A good charcuterie board will spill over at any moment, the more, the higher the better!

Next add the smaller things, and pile them on and then add some more.

Fill every inch as much as you can, it really makes a difference.

Layers are the key to the best charcuterie boards, and fullness.

There is no right or wrong theme (well unless no one eats any of it)

The possibilities are endless, I can’t wait to share a fun new idea I have with you guys next week.

PS I will also be releasing something fun and new in my Etsy Shop!

Behind the Scenes

Now if you follow me on Instagram you know sweet Maple is never far from me.

Well when I am creating she loves to be in the middle of it.

She is always trying to get a bite of EVERYTHING!

Maple can never have too much attention or too many bites of someone else’s food, we are all guilty of giving her bites.

I mean who can say no when she slide her head in your lap looking for love, oh and snacks!

Taking photos is sometimes a challenge, because she feels the need to put her head or her tail in almost everyone of them.

But y’all she is the sweetest ever and none of us would give her up for anything in the world.

Trying to grab a quick shot, before the charcuterie board is eaten.

Have no fear Maple is always double checking my work!
