Making holidays extra special is one of my favorite things. It doesn’t have to be over the top, a fun snack, ice cream float, or something.

Lucky Ice Cream Float

If you follow me on Instagram you ice cream floats are a favorite at my house.

And you know I am always trying to put a fun twist on a classic!

Here I used Sprite with a couple of drops of green food coloring instead of root beer.

Good old faithful and my favorite ice cream vanilla and I live in Texas so it’s BlueBell all the way here.

Topped it with some whipped cream.

For a twist added gold sprinkles and an air head sour rainbow strip!

The possibilities are endless, and I promise even college kids smile and want one.

Food Rainbow Charcuterie Board

I don’t know about you, but when I was a child I was always told not to play with my food.

Now playing with food is one of my favorite things to do.

I’ve been making charcuterie boards since before they were a thing.

My twins are 20 and when they were 2 while I was making dinner they would whine and cry, so I started chopping up veggies and serving them to the girls on the cutting board.

Cooking in peace while the snacked health was a life saver!

Think outside the box, I started this thinking I would just use all green foods, then took it apart and grabbed some fruit to make a rainbow.

See it come together…

Lucky Charms Rice Crispy Treats

No surprise I would switch out the standard rice crispy cereal for lucky charms!

Did you know you can do this with almost any cereal?

Just swap out the type of cereal cup for cup.

Below in my recipe for regular rice crispy treats but they are anything but regular!

I had to take it up a notch of course, you will never go back to the way the back of the back says to make them again, trust me!!

Making days extra special does not have to be hard, complicated, or expensive!
